Printing Tips

It’s a simple concept, really. Paper is made from trees. If you avoid the use of paper, you assume that you aren’t contributing to a decrease of forests, right? Not according to a case study conducted by Two Sides North America and Dovetail Partners, Inc. Two Sides reports that, contrary to popular believe, the data they’ve collected shows that “the global regions with the highest levels of industrial timber harvest and forest products output are also the regions with the lowest rates of deforestation.” The study points out that without the use of paper, it’s a likely reality that much of the land devoted to forestation could be converted to other uses, such as urban development or agriculture. The bottom line is that the continued sustainable use of paper and other wood products may be an indispensable factor in maintaining forests.
